About the Basic Disclosure (Certificate of Good Conduct)
A Basic Disclosure is a check against the UK Police National Computer (PNC) and contains details of all current criminal convictions (convictions considered unspent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974).
An official Basic Disclosure Certificate is produced giving those details or confirms there are no such convictions.
If a Disclosure contains no record of criminal convictions it is widely accepted as a testament to good character and conduct.
